To serve Virginia by identifying and addressing food defense and food safety issues pertinent to the Commonwealth through stakeholder collaboration, communication, education and cooperation.

The Virginia Food Protection Task Force consists of members representing academia, industry, and regulatory with an interest in food safety and security. Membership is open to commodity groups; food related trade associations; food producers; and others. The Task Force sponsors educational opportunities each year.
